like除了表示喜欢，还可以表示像、类似、相似的意思；like to仅仅只能表示喜欢、喜欢……样。like后面可跟名词或者是动名词；like to因为to是不定式，所以like to后面只能跟动词原形。
like作动词的用法
like+名词/代词，"喜欢某人或某物". 即like something/like somebody。
like+代词 例句： She is a good teacher. We all like her. 她是一个很好的老师，我们都很喜欢她。
like+名词 例句：Lily is an excellent student. She likes Chinese lesson very much. 丽丽是个很优秀的学生。她很喜欢语文课。
当然，like作为动词的时候，还有两个固定短语搭配。like to do sth /like doing sth.
like to do sth. 意为"(偶尔或具体地)喜欢做某事".
例句：I like to sing today. 今天我喜欢去唱歌。
like doing sth. 意为"(经常或习惯地)喜欢做某事"，一般表示某种爱好。
例句：I like singing. 我喜欢唱歌。
