like是谓语动词。系动词是用来辅助主语的动词。它本身有词义，但不能单独用作谓语，其后必须跟表语，构成系表结构说明主语的状况、性质、特征等情况。谓语动词指的是在句子中可以单独作谓语的动词，主要由实意动词充当。
like的用法
1、like作介词
（1）相似；类似；像
She's wearing a dress like mine.
她穿的连衣裙和我的相似。
（2）（询问意见）……怎么样
What's it like studying in Spain?
在西班牙念书怎么样？
（3）（指某人常做的事）符合……的特点，像……才会
It's just like her to tell everyone about it.
她就是这么个人儿，能把这事见谁就告诉谁。
（4）像……一样
Students were angry at being treated like children.
学生对于把他们当小孩子对待感到气愤。
（5）例如；譬如；比方
2、like作动词
（1）喜欢；喜爱
She's nice. I like her.[动词 + 名词短语]
她人很好，我喜欢她。
She's never liked swimming.[动词 + -ing短语]
她从不喜欢游泳。
I didn't like him taking all the credit.[动词 + 名词短语 + -ing短语]
我讨厌他把所有的功劳归于自己。
I like to see them enjoying themselves.[动词 + 带to的不定式]
我就愿意看着他们玩得高兴。
I like it when you do that.[动词 + 名词短语 + wh-从句]
我喜欢你那样做。
（2）[无被动态]喜欢做；喜欢（以某种方式制作或产生的东西）
At weekends I like to sleep late.[动词 + 带to的不定式]
周末我爱睡懒觉。
I like my coffee strong.[动词 + 名词短语 + 形容词]
咖啡我爱喝浓的。
（3）[动词 + 名词短语][无被动态] to want 想；要；希望
You can dye your hair whatever colour you like.
你的头发你想怎么染就怎么染。
（4）（用于否定句）愿做
I didn't like to disturb you.[动词 + 带to的不定式]
我本不愿打搅你。
He doesn't like asking his parents for help.[动词 + -ing短语]
他不愿向父母求助。
（5）（与would或should连用表示客气）想，想要，希望
Would you like a drink?[动词 + 名词短语]
你想喝一杯吗？
Would you like to come with us?[动词 + 带to的不定式]
你想不想和我们一块儿去？
We'd like you to come and visit us.[动词 + 名词短语 + 带to的不定式]
我们想请你来我们这儿作客。
3、like作连词
（1）像……一样；如同
No one sings the blues like she did.
没人像她那样唱布鲁斯。
（2）好像；仿佛；似乎
She acts like she owns the place.
她的举动就像那地方是她的一样。
4、like作名词
（1）the things that you like 喜好；爱好
We all have different likes and dislikes .
我们各有不同的好恶。
（2）[单数]类似的人（或物）
You're not comparing like with like .
你比较的不是同类的东西。
（3）the likes of sb/sth（尤指被视为和某人或某事物一样好的）种类，类型
She didn't want to associate with the likes of me.
她不想与我这种类型的人交往。
5、like作形容词 [只用于名词前]类似的；相似的
She responded in like manner.
她以类似的方式作出了反应。
6、like作副词
（1）（非正式口语，思考说下句话、解释或举例时用）大概，可能
It's really hard. Like I have no time for my own work.
这事真费劲，可能我没时间做自己的工作了。
（2）I'm, he's, she's, etc.（非正式口语）我说，他说，她说
And then I'm like ‘No Way! ’
接着我说“没门！”
（3）（非正式口语，代替as）和…一样，如，像
There was silence, but not like before.
没有声音，但与以前不一样。
