例如:“The delay was due to bad weather.(延误是由于恶劣的天气。)”
也可用于一些固定结构后,如“This is due to the fact that...(这是由于…… 例如:“This is due to the fact that the company is facing financial difficulties.(这是由于公司正面临财务困难的事实。)”
“Due to+原因”可放在句首作原因状语,但此时句子要使用“be+动词的过去分词”的被动语态结构,例如:“Due to his carelessness, the project was delayed.(由于他的粗心,项目被延迟了。)” 这里“due to his carelessness” 说明“the project was delayed” 的原因。
例如不能说“He arrived late due to the traffic jam.”,而应改为“He arrived late due to traffic jam.”或“He arrived late because of the traffic jam.”。
与“because of”“owing to”用法相近,但在正式文体中,“due to”更为常用。例如:“The game was cancelled due to/owing to/because of heavy rain.(比赛因大雨被取消。)”。
You have not given what is due to me.
His success was due to industry and thrift.

His mistake was due to youth and inexperience.
Mistakes due to carelessness may have serious consequences.
The traffic accident was allegedly due to negligence.
He is due to address a conference on human rights next week.
It was a real prize due to its rarity and good condition
