My father was swimming in the sea, my mother was sunning on the beach, and I was picking up beautiful shells. It was dark soon. My father said to us, "It's late. We should go home." The annual National Day is coming, the streets are beautifully decorated, everywhere covered with red flags, permeated with a festive atmosphere.
The day before the National Day, my parents took me on the train to Beijing. I spent my holiday in Beijing. We went to visit the Forbidden City first. I walked in the Palace Museum of ancient stone steps, listening to the tour guide telling storys, feeling the ancient Oriental culture. Then we went to the Great Wall. I can't imagine how people built the Great Wall thousands of years ago. It is so spectacular.
The seven-day holiday passed very quickly. I went to many places and bought some souvenirs. The only thing I regret is not going to see the flag raised. But my parents promised me that they would take me to Beijing next year.
一年一度的国庆到来了，大街小巷都布置得漂漂亮亮，到处张灯结彩，洋溢着一派节日的气氛。
