index复数：indices；indexes。index意思是指数；指标；索引；标志；表征；量度。当它表示“指数”时，复数形式既可以是indexes，也可以使indices。index表示其他意思（如“索引”）的时候，复数形式为indexes。

1、作“索引”时，复数为：indexes
Author and subject indexes are available on a library database.

2、作“标志；指标；表征；量度 ；指示物”时，复数为：indices
