Neither ：既可作代词，副词，或连词，也可作形容词。neither有两者都不;也不;既不等意思。
Neither的用法 ：
1、neither用作代词时表示“两者都不”,可单独使用,用于没有冠词、物主代词、指示代词等限定词修饰的单数名词前,用作主语时,谓语动词用作单数形式,也可以和介词of连用,后接复数名词或人称代词,名词前面一定要有限定词修饰。
2、neither作主语时,谓语动词在大多数情况下用第三人称单数形式,但在neither of...后可以用单数形式,也可以用复数形式。
3、neither用作连词常与nor一起连用,连接两个相同成分,如两个主语或宾语,意思是“既不…也不”。
4、如果连接的是两个主语,句中谓语动词的人称和数取决于nor后面的离动词最近的名词或代词的人称和数。
5、neither...nor...后面的谓语动词也有与nor后的词不一致的情况,这多出现在非正式文体中。
例句：
The report concludes that I acted neither fraudulently nor improperly.
报告最后认为我的行为既没有欺骗性也没有任何不妥。
They can neither read nor write, nor can they comprehend such concepts.
他们不会读，不会写，也理解不了这样的概念。
